The Problem
Public healthcare in Chhattisgarh was fragmented — patient records lived in paper files across hospitals, billing was manual and error-prone, medical supply chains had no real-time visibility, and there was no unified view for policy-makers. Human error in data entry caused delays in service delivery and misallocation of resources.
The Approach
Built a unified platform that digitizes the entire healthcare workflow: patient registration, appointment scheduling, diagnostics ordering, electronic health records, automated billing, and supply chain tracking. The system connects hospitals, clinics, and government offices into a single data layer with role-based access. Analytics dashboards give administrators real-time visibility into healthcare delivery metrics.
How it was built
Audited the existing workflows across 5 district hospitals to map every manual process — from patient intake to discharge and billing.
Designed the data architecture around FHIR standards for interoperability, with a PostgreSQL backbone and Redis caching for high-throughput scenarios.
Built the patient management module — registration, appointment scheduling, doctor assignment, and electronic prescriptions.
Developed the supply chain tracker — real-time inventory across facilities, automated reorder triggers, and expiry monitoring for medicines.
Integrated billing automation with government insurance schemes, reducing claim processing time significantly.
